Discover Our Story

Welcome - Buon Vunetto!

From Naples, Italy, the Covino family are one of the longest-standing Italian restaurant families on the Gold Coast. Established in 1984 at Romana’s in Nobbys Beach, followed by Valentino’s Broadbeach in 1995 and Georges on Broadbeach in 1998, the family has been sharing traditional Italian food and hospitality for generations.

Georges on Sorrento continues this family tradition, led by Emilio, with a focus on honest food, a welcoming atmosphere, and the kind of dining experience that brings people back time and again.

​

The menu offers a mix of fresh seafood, homemade pasta, and classic Italian dishes, including meals prepared in our imported Marana wood-fired oven from the family’s hometown near Naples. Our menu changes seasonally, and 95% of dishes are cooked to order. Please let our team know of any allergies or dietary requirements — we offer salt-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options.
